Marketstreams was founded in 2007 by Basil Harris, Jr. to help companies design intelligent, customer-centric marketing strategies and plans that result in wildly successful software products and services.

With a focus on getting the "upstream" research and planning elements right Marketstreams ensures that all the elements of a "downstream" product introduction - including branding, messaging, competitive positioning, communications, customer and sales training, public relations, and more - flow together gracefully, powerfully, and profitably.

Basil brings many years of marketing and product management experience to his client engagements. He has held senior management positions at global firms like Novell, Segue Software (acquired by Borland), KPMG Consulting (now BearingPoint), and Progress Software, as well as at innovative and fast-paced startups like Visible Measures, Vovici, and Enterprise Mobile.


With more than two dozen software product and services launches to his credit, Basil has delivered significant value across the entire spectrum of marketing and product management services, from strategic planning and requirements development to the detailed work of preparing and delivering new and next-version products to the market.

Basil holds an honors BA degree from the University of Toronto, an MEd from the University of New Hampshire, and MBA credits from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition, Basil has been a member of the Society for Technical Communications (STC), has taught at several universities, and has written numerous articles on marketing topics.
